Founded by Anton Humbaur at Donauwörth as a manufacturer of agricultural machinery (trailers, ploughs, grain mills etc.)

Decline in agricultural machinery sales. Anton Humbaur decided to include new products in his sales programme

Relocation to Gersthofen, construction of a new warehouse and office building

1981

Car trailer distribution and sales commence. In the initial phase, these were imported from Italy, converted for the German market and sold on from Gersthofen

1982

Ulrich Humbaur, our present managing director, joined the company

We start manufacturing our own car trailers

Formation of Humbaur GmbH

End of the distribution and sales of agricultural machinery and the consistent build-up of the production of trailers for private and commercial use

Start of the production of horse trailers

2001

Construction of and relocation to new administration and production facilities (22,000 m²) at Mercedesring, Gersthofen

2004

Humbaur heavy-duty range is presented at the IAA in Hanover for the first time

2005

Construction of a second production workshop at Gersthofen – state-of-the-art production technology across more than 23,000 m²

Expansion of the heavy-duty range with 30 t flatbed turntable trailer

The BIG ONE semi-trailer product family is presented at the IAA in Hanover for the first time

Launch of the Rexus box trailer in sporty retro design
