Zwolle International

8th - 18th Januar 2010 Zwolle, Netherlands

For nearly fifteen years, Zwolle has been a competition where stallions have performed show jumping and dressage at an international level.

From 8 to 18 January 2009 this formula will be changed for the first time. Every dressage and show jumping combination that can perform at top level is welcome from now on, explained the organiser Chris van Dam.

As well as the international show jumping and dressage sections, Zwolle International will have space for an international youth competition for dressage riders, a national dressage day, the KWPN Harness Horse Stallion Approvals, the Most Beautiful Harness Horse Evening of the Year and a jumping competition for regional riders.

As has already been mentioned there will be much more to do in Zwolle besides international top sport. What is new is the GMB championships for 4 and 5-year-old show jumpers.

As well as this, the finals of the Hippo Zorg Jumping Challenge will take place as will the traditionally very popular Most Beautiful Harness Horse Evening of the Year.

"Youngsters' CHIO"

10th - 13th December 2009 Salut-Festival Aachen 2009

It is the "CHIO of the youngsters". The best young riders from all over Germany will compete at the Salut-Festival Aachen 2009 from December 10th - 13th.

The Salut-Festival has become a fixed date in the Advent season of Aachen. Spectators will witness high level equestrian sport on the four tournament days: 200 riders with 300 horses will compete in 20 jumping classes in the Albert-Vahle-Arena. In the age groups pony riders (up to 16 years of age), juniors (up to 18 years) and young riders (up to 21 years), the best German riders and several guests from different nations, for example from Great Britain, Poland and Taiwan will take part.

Aside to the outstanding sport programme, the organiser primarily focuses on one certain aspect: "We will present the visitors with a festive and pre-yuletide atmosphere", says the ALRV's Chairman of the Managing Board, Frank Kemperman, "and the entry fee for everybody will be paid by Santa Claus himself - the entry is free on all event days."
