Sassenberg/Gersthofen, June 14th, 2024 – Leisure vehicle manufacturer LMC Caravan GmbH & Co. KG, together with Europe's largest trailer manufacturer Humbaur GmbH, presents the MODO, an innovation outside the familiar product segments of caravans, motorhomes, camper vans and transport trailers. The MODO is the result of close cooperation between the two experts: a multifunctional leisure vehicle that is convincing in both professional and private everyday life. Thanks to its modular interior design, it offers maximum flexibility and versatility.

From commercial vehicle to "living" trailer - individually adaptable

The MODO is like a blank sheet of canvas waiting to be designed. Whether as a transport and leisure trailer for craft businesses, as a workshop or living space for traveling salesmen and craftsmen on assembly.

For do-it-yourself fans who don't want to start from scratch but want to build an individual trailer themselves, the MODO is also an ideal basis - it offers an ideal combination of working and living.

What is the MODO and how is it constructed?

The MODO is more than just a trailer. "Modo" (Italian) stands for "the possibility" or "the way", but is also derived from "modular" and "do it". And it doesn't promise too much.

Equipped with its flexible furniture system, the MODO can be transformed into a comfortable sleeping and working space in no time at all. The changeover is completed in next to no time and leaves plenty of options for the interior and exterior design of the vehicle. The modular system based on airline rails impresses with its wide range of possible uses.

All modules are the same size and, with dimensions of 750 x 475 x 425 mm, have the familiar shape of a moving box. This means that different living space concepts and configurations can be realized in the trailer. The available modules include, for example, storage boxes and cupboards in various designs, a kitchen module with sink, a folding bed and a children's bed as well as useful accessories such as cup holders and fabric wall cupboards. These can also be used as a travel or sports bag.

The MODO is a product that shows how you can use individual strengths, increase efficiency and develop something good together," says Bodo Diller, LMC Managing Director Sales. "We are delighted that we can combine the best of two worlds with the MODO. By combining our expertise, we are not only expanding the possibilities of our respective companies, but also those of MODO users. We are proud of this step," says Dr. Volker Nilles, Managing Director of Humbaur.
